POWER, Piper L., born into this world October 1, 2008, daughter of Michael and Rebecca Power, went home to God on December 12, 2009. She is survived by two wonderful sisters, Sydnee and Payton; grandparents, Steve and Lyn Rue, and Rosalee West; great-grandmother, Eve Atkinson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorial service will be held at the Hanover Church of The Nazarene, 8391 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, Va. on Thursday, December 17 at 1 p.m.
Steve Rue, Piper's grandfather, is a long time member of the Rotary Club of Mechanicsville. One of his passions has been support for the Hanover Safe Place, a passion shared by his family.
Hanover Safe Place, through the Hanover Domestic Violence Resource Center, offers many services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in Hanover County.
